Semi Retired Web Site CC Web

For more than 10 years, Community College Web has been our most "hit" site. It followed the course of Web decimals.
In Web 0.5- (1994-1995) it was a static editedHTML site of community college web sites, I manually edited.
In web 1.0 (1995-2002), it evolved to a perl powered site (data in flat file text), where forms allowed people to submit new sites to a home grown admin system, where we could edit, delete, update. The unix index/search tool GLIMPSE was used to make it searchable.
In Web -2.0 (now) we get so much spam being sent via our open submission forms, that we have suspended the forms that allow adding of new sites (One never knew that so many porn, betiality, poker, and pill sites were considered "community colleges"!).
CCWeb is still searchable, but the front door is closed to adding new sites. There are so many better other search sites for this info, that I have little qualms shhutting it down so the person who takes over my web sites has one less mess to dig through.
However, I leave the snapshop of the site as is for pure web nostalgia purposes.
